Shalom, and happy morning to you. When we look at all the atrocities suffered by our people—the so-called Negroes—it is clear to see that something abnormal has occurred. From slavery to Jim Crow and segregation, to mass incarceration and excessive amounts of police brutality, we have suffered more at the hands of fellow citizens than any other race of people, be they immigrants or natives to this country. And the same is true around the world.
No race is discriminated against more than ours; no race is despised around the world more than ours, even by other minorities; and no race is marginalized more than ours. We are at the bottom of every society: the poorest, the least educated, the least represented, and the least desired. But long ago it was not so. During the reign of King David, we were a burgeoning empire of righteous people, growing in strength and importance. And under King Solomon, we were the richest, most influential nation in the world. But our national sin and rebellion changed all of that, and the result was Yah’s severe punishment, which is what you see our people suffering today.
1 Hear this word that Yah has spoken against you, O people of Israel, against the whole family that I brought up out of the land of Egypt: 2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.
